Carole Tucker
I fell in love with Africa on my first visit in 1980. I have now lived on the continent, in various countries, for 26 years. My passion for history, coupled with my love of Africa, has resulted in my studying the continent's history and archaeology for the last 12 years. I also have an honours degree in psychology which stands me in good stead when comparing people's behaviour within different cultures.
Obviously, if there is an interest in history, then there has to be an interest in travel. I have tried to visit as many countries as I can in order to get a feel for the place and its history. These wonderful travel experiences have also encouraged me to look at the culinary delights available in each stop.
Writing is something I have always enjoyed - whether it be academic writing, fiction or letter writing. And, finally, I have begun writing 'the book' - the one everyone says they are going to write one day!
